Wasabi Cucumber Salad.

Why not try something different: spicy cucumber salad with roasted sesame. Try it and you wont regret it!  Just be careful with the amount of wasabi - otherwise look forward to funny faces :)))

Preparation. 5-10 Min.
Cooking. 5 Min.
Serves 4 


You need.

1 cucumber

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp sesame seeds  

1 tbsp rice vinegar (or any other vinegar you like)

2 - 3 tsp wasabi paste 

1/2 tsp soy sauce

1 tsp sugar


Instructions.

Finely slice or grate the cucumber into a bowl and add salt. Put the cucumbers aside to gently squeeze out any excess juice later.

Roast the sesame seeds in a pan (without oil ! ) on medium heat, until they turn slightly brown (about 5 min) - stir regularly! The sesame will give the salad an extra nutty taste! 

For the dressing mix: vinegar, wasabi, soy sauce and sugar.

Now gently squeeze out any excess water from the cucumbers and mix with the roasted sesame seeds and dressing. 


Note.

Serve as side dish for example with a dry curry, fresh naan bread or simply with spaghetti :)
